Firstly two things 1) This sin't: it's just the young, homophobia can be in anyone at any age, the terms are age are used in relevance to the context of the thread.
2) this sin't from a soap but a drama series, but i'm making an exception as it's a good topic.
Do you think that there is more homophobia in the younger generation today and in schools?
In this drama series at a school a 15 year old gay schoolboy is getting bullied for his sexuality and the "no homophobic policy" of the school is still in the dark ages. Now dramatics aside why do you think it is more common now in the younger generation (In the context of this topic), or do you think that is not true?
I don't have a problem with gay/bi/lesbian people, and i'm not religious, but if ipeople who are religious say they don't believe it's right because of their religious beliefs, i respect that, because i respect their right to believe in a god, wether or not i choose to believe or not and rguardless of what i think of organised religion.
As i said in the opener it's not just the young, it can be in anyone of any age, but in the context of this coversation i want to discuss the impact of homosexuality in the newer generation as i have senn first hand how cruel and closed minded teens older, younger, whatever, can be. So what are your opinions on it?
Is a mis-education to blame, a lck of understanding - it's easy to mock somthing you have no idea about, or just a general bigotet unintelligent mind set, even in the 21st century?
