Did anyone else love this?
It started Paul Kaye (Think that was his name) and Ex-Eastender Michelle Collins (Cindy Beale). It also starred Phillip Downing as youngster Alfie (now to be seen returning to EastEnders as Aleesha Miller's father, Leo), Abby's son (Michelle Collins)
The first series was wonderful with the Kenny/Abby Chemistry, and the city family in the rural (Scottish?) coast town/village. It also had plenty of interesting characters in the place they moved too as well and was a great series.
Unfortunately series 2 was IMO pants, and they should not have killed off Kenny. In all series 2 felt very unsatisfactory after such a great first series.
So, any fans?

I thought there was more than two series of 2000 acres of sky? Possibly three or four. I liked the show quite a lot but near the end i stopped watching. I never saw Kenny leave thankfully. He made the show for me. I never noticed Alfie was in EE, i guess i'll have watch closely now he's coming back into it. It was set on a Scottish island.

He appeared briefly at the hospital after Demi gave birth to Aleesha in EastEnders (with a black eye - abuse from father?) as Leo, Aleesha's teenage dad. He'll be in it this week (grown up a bit!) as leo, so keep your eyes peeled! I know it had two series, it was rumoured three but i don't think that's true. Be glad you didn't see series too, very average and they killed off Kenny, not even decently.

I totally loved 2,000 Acres of Sky. I was so depressed when the series ended and I was heartbroken when Kenny died. How unfair!!!!!! He loved Abby with all his heart.

It was a really good programme, but very sad when killed off Kenny, there was no way they could have continued it without him.

I am really glad i didn't watch all of the second series then if he died. Kenny made the show for me. I think it would have been quite average without him. Its a shame they don't repeat it on UK Gold. I saw Leo in EE Peter, if you hadn't of mentioned it i would have wondered for ages where i had seen him!

Kenny's dying scene was quite dramatic. It seemed to be such a cruel way to go - cold, and all alone.

I can't remember the detail, but wasn't he stranded somewhere (beach? - not in the tradional sand sea sece more the jagged cliffs cold scottish air and weather type), and remained there and just dies? I thought it was very silly and stupid.
I think there was a bit where he thought he was getting rescued as well but he just dreamt it?
